  I understand that you can not have “sponsored” posts. Makes sense! Am I able to post “courtesy of” or gifted items on my blog? Thanks!

  I’m afraid I can’t answer this definitively without seeing the content of what you’re proposing to post on your site. If your content will function like sponsored content or advertising, it would not be appropriate for WordPress.com.

  Thanks for the response. I’m going to have some fashion posts, so some entries will have links on where to buy certain items I am wearing. All items will be things I like and support. If I have been given an item to sample and use, can I reference that it is courtesy of a certain company? There would be no monetary exchange.

  As long as your content doesn’t include advertising, the purpose isn’t to inject a number of affiliate links into your site, and otherwise the site doesn’t appear overly commercial or spammy, you should be fine.
