Gigantic headings in sidebar on front page

The latest post has distorted something on the sidebar. I usually don’t fool with code, and I have no idea what happened (a stray tag that didn’t close?), nor how to find and fix it. Any advice? Thanks! –mudge -
You’re not going to like this.
The blog is full of copy/pastes. That’s your problem.
What’s happened is you’ve been picking up invisible HTML tags and pasting them into your blog, where they are giving all kinds of competing commands. Because they’re invisible, you haven’t grabbed the closing tags. When you pasted into your blog, you left a tag open and it’s causing your sidebar to go wonky.
You need to go through your posts one by one and clean up the code until the problem is resolved, and you need to be careful in the future to clean your code or it’ll happen again.
You clean up the code by clicking on the icon in the top right of the Edit page; that gives you the Advanced toolbar. Then click on the little brush, to clean up the code.

Raincoaster,
You’re right, I don’t like it, but I understand and appreciate your taking the time to reply. –mudge -
mudge, edit this post: http://mudge.essoenn.com/2008/02/02/mm273-yes-we-can/
switch to code view and just put a
</font>
tag at the end of the post.
(There’s an orphan font tag right before the video). -
Isadora,
Thank you thank you thank you!
What confuses me is why it took several days worth of new posts to reveal the issue, since the sidebar was okay until last night.
But, I’ll accept that it was lurking, waiting for another video, or something.
Anyway, thanks again; I never ever would have found the problem (just spent an hour redoing no. 278 to no avail).
I LOVE WordPress.com!
And you’re pretty good, too, Isadora ;-)

mudge, no idea why it didn’t show up earlier, I just made a local copy of the page and deleted the posts one by one until the fonts got back to normal size and they only reverted after deleting 273. It looks as if you deleted a sentence just before the video leaving the tag there.
Glad to see that it works now.
