    Hi, we do use Github. The issue outlined in your article, if I understand it correctly, is that someone uploaded private code, including sensitive details, to a public Github site.

    You could compare it to using WordPress to publish information you want public, vs using WordPress to upload your credit card number and government ID. The platform isn’t the issue so much as the bad actor. And the code for WordPress is designed to be open, not private. The code on Github does not include anyone’s passwords.
