Github Social Media Button

Hello,
We have several web developers on staff who would like to link their Github account to the social media element. The list doesn’t appear to show Github as an option, is there any update to whether there is an option or if WP will be adding it as an option? I appreciate any help!

I’ve used the Social Icons widget to link to my social accounts on my site, including Github: https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/social-media-icons-widget/
The Social Links menu also offers Github: https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/social-links-menu/
This question sounds like something else, however. What WordPress.com hosted site is this for and where should the icons appear?
