give a public access to the media library
-
Hello,
I’m thinking about a site which would provid some files to download. Essentialy PDF, but also mp3…
I guess I can upload files in the media library and then make a page with the links to the files.
But is there any way to give a systematic public access to these files with a search tool ??thank for your help

There is no public access to your Media library.
From the support documentation:
You can upload the documents to your WordPress.com blog using the Add Media icon (for images, use the Add an Image icon). For a list of filetypes we support, see Accepted Filetypes. http://en.support.wordpress.com/accepted-filetypes/
See > http://en.support.wordpress.com/uploading-documents/Note the Related links on that page as well:

ScribdNote that, if you wish to upload audio files from your own computer, you will need to purchase the Space Upgrade.

then make a page with the links to the files.
