Give it to me straight, do I need to learn HTML?

    Hi there,

    I am mucking about with my first wordpress blog, but am very keen to design the entire look of it myself, however, where do I start…Ive managed to get the sandbox theme going and it is now apparent I require some CSS skill.
    Basically, i know nothing, I am very savvy at designing in AI and PS if I want to play around with my blog am I going to have to learn HTML and work up from there? Or is there a way around this?
    Any advice would be gratefully received.

    At wordpress.com, we can only modify the appearance of the themes available to us on the dashboard. This involves CSS (Cascading Style Sheets).
