A client would like to give a site to another organization, we are transferring web and domain hosting as well. I am aware that I can use the ‘transferring’ method but my client has no information on their WordPress.org account information. I can log into the site but I do not have access to their WordPress.org account.
1. How can I reclaim the WordPress.org account information for a particular website?
2. Can I simply hand over the login information and let the recipient organization change the Admin passwords to claim ownership? Are there hidden problems with this? -

That site is not on our WordPress.COM servers. You are posting to the wrong support forum.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, support docs and support forums, and many people get confused about the two.
