Giving Blog it's own name and Link
-
Help! Please…I have a blog titled “Liz Hanlon Tells All”. I have others too, but they are not my consideration at the moment. I want to take this blog mentioned here and do 2 things: First, make it appear as it’s own blog under the name “Liz Hanlon Tells All”, rather than under a previous Blog’s header which is LizHanlon.wordpress.com. I’m not trying to have a separate website for it, but I do need a distinct LINK that isn’t full of numbers and extras so that I can send people directly to it. Is this possible? At the moment, all my blogs seemed to be lumped together under that original heading, and if I send people there they see all these other unrelated things. Thanks..Barbara Reed
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

changing the site title and/or tagline
The Site title (blog name) and/or the optional Tagline can be changed on the top of this page at any time. > Settings > General …
“save changes”. That is exactly where search engine spiders look for the site title and removing it from there can cause issues with getting your content indexed. Note that the site title (blog name) and blog address URL do not have to be the same but it’s better for SEO (search engine optimization) if they are the same.changing the .wordpress.com blog address to another .wordpress.com blog address
You cannot edit any URL. If you want to change the blog address ie. the URL starting with http:// then you must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog to do that and the URL you desire must be available. If so then you can change the URL by using this guide http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/purchasing your own domain and domain mapping from your http://lizhanlon.wordpress.com/ blog to it
Your content stays exactly where it is. All that changes is the URLs and your visitors are seamlessly redirected from the original .wordpress.com URLs to the same content under the new domain URLs.Important Notes Before Upgrading http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#important-notes-before-upgrading
All About Domains http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/all-about-domains/In order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com subdomain blog to map from and the domain name you desire must be available for purchase, or you must already own the domain URL.
You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard at > Store > My Upgrades to purchase a domain name by purchasing an annually renewable domain mapping upgrade for the blog. See here if you do not own a domain http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/
After you do the primary blog set up it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.
