giving link a title

  Hi! I inserted some links on my last blog and when inserting them I put in a “title” in hopes it wouldn’t display the long confusing link it would display the title.. but is isn’t. It’s displaying the entire VERY long links on the page. How to I simplify it with a smaller link that takes you to the website? Thanks in advance!
