  Hi i have a yahoo account and web page design i do not like. i recently rebuilt a site on word press, but it is xxx.wordpress.com. if i upgrade to premium and lose the ..wordpress.com can i cancel my yahoo account and just use you can i keep my regular domain name.? are you then the host ? thanks joseph

  Is http://theearthexpanded.wordpress.com/ the account in question?

  WordPress does not allow the transfer of registered domains. WordPress does allow you to map a domain from say a yahoo registered domain name a WordPress.COM website. Mapping an existing domain name costs $13 dollars a year.

  Also, if you have email hosting it will cease working.

  With the purchase of the premium upgrade it appears you may not get domain name mapping
