Glitch to displaying Featured Image

Hi, I’m having problems with my Organic Themes appearance on my wordpress. It appears to have been glitching since Sept 16th. I thought perhaps it would correct itself, but it appears to be getting worse.
The theme I use enables a picture feature to appear on my homepage. Initially when it started messing up it would appear on one post then not appear on the next, then appear again on the next post (all posts have a photo selected as a feature image). However, on the last three posts none of the featured images can be displayed and I’m unsure why (I have a selected feature image in each post, it shows up on the post, but not on the main homepage).
Another problem is that the posts on the main page (most recent post) don’t seem to update (which it’s supposed to). For example, my last post was “Overdose”, but the main header still reads “Primary Care Paramedic Workload”. As well, there is a big blank white box where the featured image is supposed to appear, but now doesn’t feature any images whatsoever, even though a featured image is selected.
I was wondering if it’s possible for you to help me fix these glitches, or tell me how to fix it. I have ensured that the featured images are selected in each of my posts. I’m not sure if this is related to the last wordpress update and perhaps it clashing with the programming of the theme?
Any help would be greatly appreciated since I would really like to keep this theme as it works well for my purposes.

At Appearance -> Theme Options, you have only one category set to choose the featured post from.
As for the featured images, would you please direct me to a post that should be displaying a featured image?

Ohhh I see, (about the featured post) didn’t realize that, I will edit that.
As for the featured image, the most recent one not working is “Overdose”

The images are no longer big enough.
Previously, we had stretched the images to fit, which was causing plenty of its own problems.
Now, we need to images to match the 400 x 180 pixel dimensions to appear.

Oh I see. Does it have to be exactly 400×180? Or can it be that size or larger?
