Glitch when users click on ‘Older Posts’

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi there. When a user clicks on ‘Older Posts’ from the main homepage – it brings up the older posts but now all the posts are unclickable. Instead, a huge ‘Search’ button pop ups up on the right hand side. I don’t know how this happened and how to fix it. Anyone?

Thank you for reporting this issue. I’ve been able to reproduce the problem on your website. It appears that the ‘Older Posts’ functionality is not working correctly, causing posts to become unclickable and displaying an unexpected search button.

As this seems to be a theme-specific bug, it would be best to bring it to the attention of the support team. They can investigate further and submit a theme bug report to address the problem. In the meantime, you may want to consider temporarily switching to another theme to maintain full functionality of your site.

  • Thanks for raising this glitch. It indeed seems to be a specific issue on the Rosalie theme that is installed on your site.

I noted that you recently changed the number of posts shown per page from “20” to “50”, so I wonder if that is connected to the bug. Can you try setting that back to 20 posts per page to see if that prevents the issue from happening?

Thanks both for taking the time to review and respond. Much appreciated.

When I found out about the glitch I changed the number of posts from 20 to 50 – so users can at least see more than 20 posts (temporary solution while I resolve the actual problem). So unfortunately no – if I change it back to 20 posts the issue will still be there.

I will check with the support team as it does seem to be a Rosalie theme issue isn’t it.

    Thanks 🙏

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. The glitch appears to be related to the Rosalie theme, which has been retired and may not fully support the latest WordPress updates. I recommend switching to the modern and versatile Twenty Twenty-Five theme as a solution. Here are a few reasons it would be an excellent fit for your site:

    Why Twenty Twenty-Five?

The Twenty Twenty-Five theme emphasizes simplicity and adaptability, making it perfect for personal blogs, professional portfolios, online magazines, and business websites. Here’s how it can enhance your website:

    1. Flexible Design Options: Choose from templates tailored for text-focused blogs, image-heavy layouts, and even news-style blogs.
    2. Modern Features: Supports more than 70 patterns, enabling easy customization for sections like About, Contact, and Hero.
    3. Enhanced Accessibility: Offers diverse typography and color palettes to ensure your content is accessible to all users.
    4. Post Navigation: Built-in compatibility with the latest WordPress Editor ensures smoother navigation and functionality for features like Older Posts.

      • Edit headers, footers, and navigation menus to reflect your branding.
      • Use pre-designed patterns to simplify page creation.
    3. Resolve the Current Glitch (Optional): If you wish to continue using Rosalie temporarily:
