Global vs Local Tags

  Is it possible to have the tags and categories link to the global tags and categories rather than my local ones?

  I seem to remember that if you followed a link from the post, it was global. But if you followed a link from a widget it was local. Or maybe it was reversed?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  No, WP has changed that after endless complaints from users: now widget and post metadata link locally only.
