GLOBETRACKR Codes Not Showing
-
Up until a few days ago, the Globetrackr Tracing on my sidebar had been working fine day after day. Then in a bid to further investigate this, I asked contacts in Brunei, Portugal,Singapore, Australia including USA to check if the problem is limited to Brunei. As it turned out, the error is seen across the board
The codes are in a text widget on http://shimworld.wordpress.com/ located right under last button (Vintage Rose). On IE6 it shows a white box with [X] while FF3 doesn’t even display this.
Cicking on http://www.globetrackr.com/dynimg/ccd377cfb1cbc0fb3e979b7cb5d9afae/display.png produces “The image cannot be displayed because it contains errors”

BTW, I have also emailed GLOBETRACKR.com on their Gmail address (web contact form is reported to be down) so I hope my email doesn’t get spam filtered. We’ll see how it goes.

Can you post the code here between backticks? It’s not unusual for images hosted at third-party sites to go down (sitemeter’s image goes down ALL THE TIME!) so maybe when it comes back up, copy it and host it here?
-
That is a different URL for the image than in your first post.
You said the image URL was

They both give errors. Either they’ve given you the wrong URLs or their image server is down or there is some other screwup on their end.

raincoaster,
I had to go back to Globetrackr admin and regenerate the codes except this time I selected options to display a maximum of 10 current countries and 10 top countries hence the extended codes. Globetrackr emailed me to tell me that the service was back on but is far from it … for a few days now all I get is DB Error: connect failed

It’s not just you. Mine is the same way. I never would have noticed if you hadn’t mentioned it.
