[GlotPress] Importing .po files – validator username

  • Unknown's avatar

According to the GlotPress ticket #217 the issue with missing usernames when importing .po files as validator has been fixed. Has this patch been committed to the wp.com GlotPress?

I’m asking because I imported a .po file some days ago and GlotPress still doesn’t add a username to the strings. This means we still don’t know, who imported strings or can filter for usernames.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hey Martin,

I’m checking on this. I’ll let you know as soon as I find out!

    Hey Martin,

I confirmed with our developers that this has not been merged into WordPress.com yet. It will likely get merged into WordPress.com eventually, but I don’t have a timeline for you right now. I’ll update you when I find out more!

    Hi Jeremy,

    thanks for investigating. :)

On a side note: The mentioned GlotPress ticket #217 dates back to a discussion here in the forums. As it’s a problem here on WordPress.com and we finally have a solution for it after nearly two years, I’m a little bit surprised that the developers don’t want to merge it as soon as possible.

    Cheers
    Martin

    Hey Martin,

Just wanted to get back to you here on this. I chatted with Yoav, the developer that owns the .org ticket. He confirmed that this will be merged, but we don’t have a timeline for it yet.
