Hey there,
Happy to help you with this.
Are you able to talk me through what you’re clicking whereby you’re facing issues when being able to return to the main screen please? I’d like to retrace some steps and see if there’s any gaps we can help with.
Additionally, it looks like you’re just getting started – what plans do you have for your site. I’m wondering if I can offer some advice/assistance with achieving those website goals.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Thank you. Current site is woodcraftsbywarren.ca
I would like the client to click on any image in “collection” to take them to details about that item. Works fine with hyperlink
After reviewing the details, I would like to install a “back” button at the bottom of the image or text, to take them back to the initial image on the “collections” page. Not just to the page, but to their initially selected item. From there they can click another item in “collection”

Hi there!
Thanks for clarifying! My suggestion to easily achieve what you’re looking for is this:
The items on the collection page go to different pages. You can edit those pages and insert a Buttons block somewhere at the bottom that links to the Collection page. Here’s the link to the Collection page. And here’s how you can use the Buttons block to insert a button:
Use the Buttons block to prompt visitors to take action with a button-style link. Your button can link to other pages of your site or to an external page. It’s great for calling attention to the most important thing you want your visitors to do. Video Tutorial Video Transcript The Buttons block allows you to create button-style links that call attention to the most important actioBy the way, I noticed you added links to the page editor instead of the actual pages on the Collection page. For example, the first image links to https://wordpress.com/page/woodcraftsbywarren.ca/84 – that’s the link to edit the page. And it’s only accessible to you. The correct link to use for that page is this: https://woodcraftsbywarren.ca/image-portfolio/
You’d want to update all the links on the Collection page, as they are all incorrectly pointing to the page editor instead of the published pages.
Feel free to let us know if you have more questions.

Thanks Aisajib. It looks like your command will take me back to the previous page. What I would like is to go back to the previous “image” on the previous page. Otherwise, the “go back” will go back to the top of the page each time.
As to the images link within the wordpress editor. Thanks. That is an oops for sure.
I’m not understanding the steps though. It looks like I can leave the published pages as is. For the 25 images in the collection, they all will have a different “image-portfolio” number. I note your first one had no number attached.

Hey there,
Many thanks for reaching back out and it looks like we’re making progess!
What I would like is to go back to the previous “image” on the previous page. Otherwise, the “go back” will go back to the top of the page each time.
In which case you may wish to explore page jumps, otherwise known as Anchor links.
So for example, on the portfolio item page, https://woodcraftsbywarren.ca/image-portfolio/ – there would be a button that links to (for example: https://woodcraftsbywarren.ca/collection/#purpleheart)
Above the image of the purple heart coffee table on https://woodcraftsbywarren.ca/collection/ – there could be a heading block: https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-editor/blocks/heading-block/ “Purpler Heat” – that has the HTML anchor,
purpleheartin this settings field:
More on page jumps/anchor links can be found here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/page-jumps/
I hope this helps!
