Go back to WordPress.com dashboard?

I remember seeing different dashboard under my sites tab. But after i went to wp admin dashboard i can’t seem to go back to the default one. How to get it back?

We’re combining the Calypso and WP-Admin sidebars into one that’s consistent across both dashboards. This should help reduce confusion when navigating between Calypso and WP-Admin features.

I turned that option on but I’m still on wp admin. How do i use calypso instead? Lot of tutorials online show calypso but on my dashboard it’s default wp admin.

Ok, if you want normal Calypso, that option should be switched off, not on.
What is the URL of the site you’re working on?

Both with and without the option shows same non-calypso dashboard. I haven’t published the site. camie490740283.wordpress.com

Hmm so the dashboard side menu no longer changes? Only the pages? But tutorial videos the page, post, theme menu looks different. There ia add button on the menu itself without going sub menu. Themes are on the top level and not under appearance. Customizer button on dashboard menu. I’m talking about dashboard menu on the site. Not admin pages. Pages seems to change toggling the option. How do i get the simplified calypso dashboard side menu back?

Yes, the sidebar has been unified and you get Calypso’s pages in the main area.
But tutorial videos the page, post, theme menu looks different.
If those videos are older, then they depict the older version.
How do i get the simplified calypso dashboard side menu back?
That’s not possible anymore.

Thanks for clarifying. Okay. But Why is info on this so hard to find? You guys should make an announcement post or something so we are not confused. I wasted both my and the other staff’s valuable time for something i could’ve read up if it was avaliable. 😒🥺
