Go Daddy?

What’s the advantage of having Go Daddy instead of doing everything on WordPress?
I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

Hi there,
WordPress is the open source software made by the community on WordPress.org.
That software is free to download and use, but it needs to be installed on a web server. You can run your own server for this, though most people prefer to use a hosting provider instead, essentially renting server space at the host.
WordPress.com and Godaddy are both hosting providers, but with the main difference here being that WordPress.com is a managed host.
That means we take care of stuff like the server configuration, software installation, maintenance and updates, and security for you. We also offer spam protection, backups, and support for the WordPress software itself (and WooCommerce, if you’re using it on our Pro plan). At most other hosts these things aren’t included, or are value-added services, i.e. you pay extra for them.
On the other side we do have some limitations on WordPress.com. You only have limited control over your server setup, can’t run an older or a beta version of WordPress if you wanted, and we don’t allow you to modify core WordPress files. We don’t support hosting multisite networks, and some types of plugins aren’t compatible with our hosting setup, so cannot be used here.
But for the most part, on WordPress.com and on our Pro plan (which I see you already have), you can do most of what you’d be able to do at any other hosting provider using the open source version of WordPress.
We have a comparison page that also breaks this down here:

I hope that answers your question, but please let me know if you have any others :)
