    Domain has been active, but the site disappeared. How can I recover my site?

    WordPress.com and WordPress.org are a little separate, and that can be confusing.

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

    Unfortunately, your site was not stored here, as WordPress.com only stores sites hosted on these servers. Your site files and database were on GoDaddy servers. GoDaddy often refers customers who cannot locate their content to WordPress. That would be WordPress.org, however they do not store your site files but instead only provide the software and support for it.

    You might use something like the internet archive to copy and paste old content if GoDaddy doesn’t have a backup and you didn’t take one either. Try entering your site address at http://web.archive.org to search.
