Go Daddy domain

  Hi, I recently paid the $10 fee to have my godaddy domain abeautifulsoul.org mapped to my wordpress domain http://zz1974june.wordpress.com, but when I try and map it through wordpress, it’s saying my ,”this domain has already been mapped”. I went ahead and forwarded my go daddy domain to my wordpress, which does seem to work, but I also want to map it in wordpress. In another words, I want my zzz1974june.wordpress.com to show as abeautifulsoul.org in wordpress.
  How do I fix this problem, and why is it saying this domain has already been mapped.

  You have two typos in your WP domain name as you typed it here. I found the blog anyway, and it’s resolving correctly for me. It can take up to 72 hours to settle down once it’s been mapped. Just wait it out; you did everything right.

  It has been over 72 hours since I mapped it. What I want is for my wordpress domain to show up in wordpress and in searches as “abeautifulsoul.org”, is that what you found?

  Since using your wordpress URL does not produce the org URL (which it would if it were correctly mapped) I did some checking.

  First of all, you need to go to GoDaddy and set your nameservers correctly. Then you can go your dashboard, Settings > Domains and set abeautifulsoul.org as your primary domain.

  Currently, all you are doing is forwarding your domain, which is not mapping; it’s just redirecting.

  I know I forwarded it because when I originally everything you just said, but when do to dashboard and try to set the primary, it had said the domain was already mapped, so in another words, I have set it to forward after mapping didn’t work.
  I think the problem is because I had another blog, but not knowing what I was doing, I deleted it, and that is probably where my domain got mapped to. So basically its being mapped to a deleted blog (i think), can this be redone

  The correct link is http://zzz1974june.wordpress.com/

  That link works. http://abeautifulsoul.org also works.

  If you have mapped abeautifulsoul.org to a previous and now deleted blog, I would contact Support http://support.wordpress.com/contact/ to have the mapping removed so that you can proceed as instructed. While it works now, it’s still not what you want, is it?

  Most staff appears to be US-based, so unless you happen to submit during their working hours it may take a little while to get a response, but Support will usually answer anywhere between 6-24 hours. I’ve never NOT had a response, but some days it may be slower than others.

  I think quite a number of support staff are in the UK. Mark for sure, and I think at least a couple more.
