Go To 1st Post?

Here is a test Hemingway-Rewritten blog with my conundrum built in.
I want to click on the second menu–Go to 1st Post–and have it appear.Obviously, as I have it set up, it is not working. I am sure that what is obvious to you is completely missed by my inexperienced brain.
Thank you all for your time and effort. There are many users on here who need you more. – John

@fabini
This is not a widget issue. You have unnecessarily created static pages when none were required to do what you want to do for including the 1st post in the menu bar.The whole bar is the custom menu and you are referring to an item in a menu. The item is a post titled Post 1 Hello and this is the URL http://sampletest99.wordpress.com/2014/11/22/post-1-hello/
Create a custom menu http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
Then add the post link for the 1st post into it as a custom link http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#adding-custom-linksThere are too many cooks here trying to help and there are many misconceptions and misunderstandings when it comes to creating menus. I’m bailing out of this thread to catch a ferry and sending you to read these posts for clarity.

“Create a custom menu http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
Then add the post link for the 1st post into it as a custom link http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#adding-custom-links”Herein is my problem. There is no place to paste the 1st post’s URL into, as there is no ‘Link’ box on my Appearance/Menus page.
If my pages are static, how do I make at least one, dynamic (if that’s the right word)?

Hold the Word Presses!
Step 1 – Go to Dashboard/Appearance/Menu.
Step 2 – Click on Screen Options in the upper right corner.
Step 3 – Make sure Links is checked.NOW, the links option appears. I shall work forward and report back. – John

It now works as desired. Clicking on the “1st Post” menu choice takes you directly to the first entry.
At this moment I could not explain to someone else how to do it, but I shall work through it again until I fully understand what’s going on.
Thanks – John

Wow, I did not know about the Screen Options part.
I’ve always had the Links show up on the screen, so I’ve never suspected such option would be hiding up there. Thanks for sharing that tip!Great that you figured it out, at last! :)
