Go To Top

I’m using the Karuna theme and would like to know if there is a button that I can add that will send the reader to the top of the page.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I sounds like you are referring to page jumps:

Please take a look at the above link and let us know if you have any questions.
Thanks,

Hi. Thanks for the reply. I’m not sure how this will work. About 90% of my posts are all on a single page. What I’m looking for is some way of creating a link/’button’ that is always visible as the reader scrolls down the page, ready to send the reader back to the top of the page. I have this idea, that should be able to put the link/’button’ in the page footer, but not sure if it will work.

Got it. Try this:
– Go to Customize > Menu
– Create a new menu
– Set its position so it’s in the header / main menu
– Add a Custom Link
– Set the link address to “#” without quotes, and set the text to Back to Top.
– Save the changes
Want to see if that does it for you?

Hi. Thanks for your reply and suggestion. However, unless I’m missing something, I cannot see anything to click on.

Ah, you’re right. The menu stays pinned on a desktop but not on mobile.
In this case, I would guess your best bet would be to add a link to each post inviting readers to go “back to top”. It could look like this, in an HTML block that you could reuse:
Scroll to TopNoting too, on mobile at least, really lonnnnng page loads like this can take a while and might not perform very well on a run-of-the-mill phone. Especially since your follow box and social links only show up at the bottom, and then have to reload again. Do you feel like most of your site visitors are browsing this way, or are they coming in from outside links to individual posts?
