    I have tried this once, but the suggested method was not what I needed.

    I need to create a button, in the side bar that when pressed takes the reader to the top of the page. The button needs to ‘float’ so that if a reader scrolls to the bottom of the page, the button remains visible. Needs to work in a similar fashion to the “Scroll to the top” function/button on eBay search.

    Hi Tony,

    I can see you have asked this before, but the solution was not what you were after. The only way to do this would be to find a suitable plugin to use that would add the ‘floating’ button to your site. Adding plugins to WordPress requires a Business or eCommerce plan.     This plugin seems similar to what you are after: WPFront Scroll Top.
