  i have recently signed up with wordpress for $99. i have godaddy providing my domain name. do i need to cancel with them in order to transfer my domain name?

  Hi there,

  We can’t accept incoming domain registration transfers, and I don’t recommend canceling your domain if you wish to use it.

  Your best bet would be to keep it registered at GoDaddy or a different registrar, and then map it to your blog at Store -> Domains in your dashboard.
