    Hi,
    We have a website from GoDaddy that we would like to transfer to you. How do I go about doing this? It says there is a registry lock? I have created a WordPress account and I have a GoDaddy account? I would also like to use Lets Encrypt for SSL

    It sounds like you may have been attempting to transfer the domain over to WordPress.com – is that correct? What is the domain you’re looking to move?

    Also, when was the domain purchased? The reason being is that this domain, may still be under a ICANN imposed transfer lock. In which case, the domain can be connected as per these steps here: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/

    To note, in order to move a site from another provider, as is – the site here at WordPress.com would need a business plan. To check, are you looking to move the site as you see it, or just the content?
