  Does WordPress use GoDaddy for domain registration and hosting if a private domain name is purchased?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You may register a domain with Godaddy if you want and map it to your blog here.

  The WordPress.COM registration is with Wild West Domains – I don’t know if there is any connection between Wild West and Godaddy – you would need to ask the Staff for more info.

  I guess my question is does WordPress use GoDaddy as their domain registration company when you sign up for a domain name through the WordPress links.

  I understand that WordPress has their domain registered with GoDaddy.

  yes WordPress.COM is registered with Godaddy: http://who.is/whois/wordpress.com/

  But you will probably need to ask the staff what any other agreement is.
