  I just purchased the domain name tawnijanine.com from GoDaddy. How do I transfer that domain name to my current WordPress website?

  You can’t. At least not for 60 days you can’t. That is how these things work. If you have a site here at WordPress.com it would have been better to register your domain here too. As it is you can map the domain to a WordPress.com site immediately and transfer it after 60 days with a paid plan.
