Godaddy domain with wordpress hosting.
-
I’ve recently bought a domain at godaddy.com and I would like to map it to an existing blog I made here on wordpress. The problem is I don’t fully understand what godaddy wants me to do to add a name server. I have read the mapping domains documentation and what I don’t understand is where I need to insert the NS1.WORDPRESS.COM In godaddy. the default name servers are “@ (Informational)” points to “ns05.domaincontrol.com (Informational)”.

Hmmm. I don’t think you read it all the way, as it contains a link to the GoDaddy help page that explains how to do this ;-)
You can find the instructions for GoDaddy here: https://www.godaddy.com/help/setting-custom-nameservers-for-domains-registered-with-us-12317
Let us know if you need any more help with this, though it would probably be better to contact GoDaddy support regarding making the changes on their side.

Thanks for the answer!
I actually did read those instructions but they did not specify what I should use in the “host name” and “points to” fields. Anyway for now I am going to just use a redirect with masking option until I understand more what I need. And again, thank you :)

Your hostname would be WordPress.com, I assume, and the name servers as well.
GoDaddy has lots of sites mapped here, so their support will also be able to help you with this. Just give then the information here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/#contacting-your-domain-provider
