GoDaddy email after mapping to WordPress
-
I successfully mapped my GoDaddy domain, kendrascookies.com, to WordPress earlier today. Since then, I have been having issues with my email. The tech at GoDaddy gave me the MX settings to input here on WordPress and I did. This is what I added:
MX 10 .MAILSTORE1.SECURESERVER.NET.
MX 0 SMTP.SECURESERVER.NET.WordPress DNS validation accepted what I input. Since the domain mapping, I have been able to SEND email from (email visible only to moderators and staff), but have not received really been able to receive any. The ONE time I did receive test emails I sent to myself, they arrived SIX hours after I sent them, but only some of them arrived. I fear I’m missing out on business since a lot of my customers email order requests.
When I check my MX settings at whatsmydns.net, everything is fine for “A” and “CNAME” but under “MX”, it’s all red x’s.
What have I done wrong?

I have located the blog in question here http://kendrascookies.com/
Setting Up Email with Google Apps instructions are here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/google-apps-email/
Are those the instructions you followed? -
No. But maybe I need to? I thought the Google Apps instructions were for people who didn’t currently have an email address. I already have one that I had been using via GoDaddy. I will try your suggestion and see if I can receive my messages that way. Thanks!

Thank you so much for your help! I am now able to receive messages now that I’ve set-up Google Apps. However, when I IMAP it through Outlook 2007, I can RECEIVE email, but it still won’t allow me to send. Hope that makes sense.
