GoDaddy Host, WordPress.com and Plug-Ins

Hello, I started out with a WordPress.com site and transferred everything to a GoDaddy host. Everywhere I read said that you will have plugin accessibility if I switched to GoDaddy, but I’m not seeing my plugins. Please help, as this has already been a headache of a problem.
