Godaddy Hosting/ wordpress.com dashboard?
-
So I bought the economy hosting package from godaddy and hosted joeboctherby.com that I paid for when I registered my wordpress account.
In the attachment Godaddy sent me it says my dashboard should now be joebotcherby.com/wp-admin but when i type that in it redirects me to http://joebotcherbydotcom.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
I’m so stuck, anyone got ideas what I need to do?Thanks,
JoeThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That is because your domain name is mapped to your blog here at wordpress.com. You have to edit the DNS settings here and point your domain name at godaddy. They should have given you the nameserver information.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/custom-dns/
Note that it will take anywhere from 24 to 72 hours for the DNS change to propagate through all the internet nameservers although lately it has been taking 24 or less in most cases. There is nothing that can be done to speed that up.

Ah okay, I’ve purchased mapping, but I’m not sure where I map it to?
sorry I’m new to all this, really confused. -
You just need to put the godaddy nameserver information into your account here so that the name will point to godaddy. Right now it points at your blog here which is why you cannot access your new blog.

Took a look at JOEBOTCHERBY.COM and according to whois info (http://x.co/UDuq) it looks like you’re registered through Automattic, which is WordPress’ registrar and your domain is pointing to WordPress as thesacredpath mentioned. Using the info in the link he gave, you’ll want to map the domain to our nameservers which, if you just recently purchased your hosting plan, are currently:
NS69.DOMAINCONTROL.COM
NS70.DOMAINCONTROL.COMAs mentioned, there will be some propagation time, at which point you should be up and running with your Go Daddy hosting plan. We’re around 24/7 if we can answer anything else: http://x.co/UDvF

so would my dns codes read:
CNAME autodiscover EXCHANGE.joebotcherby.COM.
MX 10 MAIL1.JOEBOTCHERBY.COM.
MX 20 MAIL2.JOEBOTCHERBY.COM.
TXT v=spf1 include:mail.joebotcherby.com ~all
A webmail 1.2.3.4?
Sorry I’ve never done anything like this before it’s really confusing me.
Thanks

GoDaddy told you:
We’re around 24/7 if we can answer anything else: http://x.co/UDvF
Perhaps you should contact them directly now by using the link they provided.
