    OK, Maybe I don’t quite get this but it sure seems like a rip off to WordPress, Alismet is an open source program and Godaddy is charging $5- per month….
    I got an Email which states the following

    Yes, Godaddy is a ripoff company. You can get an API key free by registering with WP.com.

    No their is confusion.

    1) Akismet on godaddy is spam filtering on the SERVER side.

    2) The plugin for wordpress users is free.

    3) This is only for wordpress.com users.

    No go-daddy for me! I would never ever be hosted by that web host because I know too many people who have had issues with them. I’m as happy as a clam at A Small Orange.

    Lol TT for the record I use them as a webhost, and freebloghelp (.com).

    They are not that bad, just there CS is a write off.

    GoDaddy is re-selling their own branded version of the Akismet Pro Blogger service, which also costs $5/mo if you buy it directly from Akismet.com.
