GoDaddy vs WordPress Business vs Elementor Cloud Website

I’m currently developing a website for small international student agency company and am torn between which hosting service I should get.

The options I’m currently looking at are: GoDaddy Managed WordPress plan, Elementor Cloud Website + Hosting Package and WordPress Business Plan.

I’ve developed a website already using local hosting server and am in a process of uploading it to the public via hosting platform.
However, we are also in-need of GUI website editor (Drag-and-Drop editor) that allows us to edit our pre-existing website without code knowledge. So we are hoping for a function that allows us to upload our HTML/CSS/JS files onto an editor that allows us to edit it. Vice-versa we would also like full access to the front-end/back-end code of the website we edited on the GUI website editor (Kind of like Nicepage and Elementor)

We are also hoping to have a hosting service that allows us to create multiple emails under our domain as well as the website editor criteria I mentioned above.

Now, here is where the confusion comes in:
My boss already purchased my domain from GoDaddy so we were originally planning to use their “Managed WordPress” hosting plan, but after making a WordPress account, we realized that we need “Business WordPress account” in order to import themes and use extensions.
Then, we discovered the Elementor Cloud Website package that has hosting and CMS combined.

I am wondering which service do I need to buy to meet the criteria I’ve said above, but am completely torn on figuring out the differences after many hours of reaching out to GoDaddy and Elementor support agents. Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Hey there! We’re happy to help. Let us know if you’d like us to work via email.

First, did you create the site you want to upload with WordPress, or with your own code? The type of files you have right now could influence your choice.

Also, know that WordPress is free code you can use on several hosts, with or without managed hosting services. WordPress.com is a managed service. And yes, our Business plan is necessary if you need to add plugins that we don’t already include.

I can’t speak for the other managed hosts, but our Business Plan includes backups, spam protection, direct support, and SSL hosting, as well as security and maintenance — all things you or your host would need to take care of if you’re just using the free software.

Any of these hosts will likely allow you to use more than one email address. We sell email boxes or Google Workspace accounts, or you can use the email provider of your choice.

Also, you can connect a domain bought basically anywhere to any of these hosts, so no worries about where you bought it.

Does that help? We’re happy to answer more questions as needed, or email you if that’s your preference.
