Godaddy + WordPress
-
I have bought my domain name from Godaddy and now I want to build my website using wordpress. Godaddy has access to wordpress website builder. I want to know what is better and easier for a non-tech end user like me for building my website myself? Should I buy the WordPress plan from Godaddy which offers Website builder+hosting+1 email account in their plan or I should map/transfer my domain to wordpress. One of my concerns is, is the Website builder tool same on both the platforms? And what is the best to take ?

Good morning –
I’m glad to stopped by to inquire about this.
There’s actually a lot of differences between using our managed environment at WordPress.com and running your own WordPress installation.
With WordPress.com we take care of all the nitty gritty details and behind the scenes stuff that you’d be responsible for with running your own WordPress installation. Your hosting and support are also included.
If you are just starting out I think that is the better option for your experience level. But please take a look at the differences outlined on this page:
This is also the “getting started” material for both options.
