godaddy wordpress plan

    Q1:
    I have purchased a domain at godaddy
    they have this wordpress plan that I can purchase with special price
    but I have registered the wordpress a/c already
    can I still purchase the plan at godaddy and use my existing wordpress a/c?

    Q2: if I use wordpress to build my website, do I need to post the wordpress link?
    or can I just post my domain and get connect directly?
    will the visitors see the wordpress.com at the end?
    or they will only see my domain name?

    Hi,
    It seems that the promotion you see in GoDaddy refers to wordpress.org. WordPress. org and WordPress.com are very different between each other. You can check up more differences here:

    But basically with WordPress.COM you don’t need to pay for hosting. Since you’ve registered with your WordPress.com, you can use the free plan (which will have a wordpress.com added to the name) or you can also buy your own domain (at Godaddy for example) and map it to your wordpress (more info here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/) Additionally, you can also upgrade your plan (available plans here: ) where you can define your own custom domain.

    WordPress.ORG is a piece of software that you’ll need to install on your computer. You’ll have access to your FTP wordpress files and you’ll be able to upload your own templates and plugins. But you will need to buy additional hosting. (and I’m thinking this is how the Goddady promo works)
