Going from free hosting to paid hosting with HostGator

Hello!
I had a free website through wordpress.com that was desertbloomvas.com. Before I did much with that site I decided to go with paid hosting through HostGator and created I’m assuming a wordpress.org site. I deleted my wordpress.com website but not my account after verifying with support that it would not affect my new site which is http://www.desertbloomvas.com. However, whenever I type that url in it takes me to a wordpress page saying that ‘desertbloomvas.wordpress.com is no longer available. When I long into my account via http://www.desertbloomvas.com/wp-admin my new site is all there and working. What do I need to do? -

When I visit http://desertbloomvas.com, the website shows up normally!
Maybe your browser has old cache (or data) before you made the changes to your site, and so the browser is loading that old cache (or data) instead of the actual website.
I would recommend clearing your browser cache and trying to visit your website again. Does it work? Let me know!

Just for future reference, for assistance with your WordPress (org) site, you’ll want to post over to https://wordpress.org/support where they likely have more experience with the type of issue you are having. If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums you can register one on that page.
Just to clarify, this support forum assists users of the WordPressdotcom platform. Standalone WordPress (org) and WordPressdotcom (where we are ) are different entities with separate documentation and support forums; more information about the differences: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
