going from wordpress.com to wordpress.org, – How to move email followers
-
Hi,
I am moving my domain http://www.posveteposvojom.com from wordpress.com, to a self hosted wordpress.org, same domain.
My current wordpress.com blog: http://www.posveteposvojom.com
My new temporary url blog, with wordpress.org installed: http://posveteposvojom.com.data13.websupport.sk/I have installed Jetpack on it, and linked it to my .com account, but .com shows 1239 followers (out of which 1168 are Facebook), whereas on the new temporary domain, it’s only 1168 followers.
How can I migrate the remaining 71 followers?
Thanks,
LukasThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Lukas,
Ok, I’ve moved them! It can take some time for them to display on your end, but if you still don’t see them listed in your stats in 24 hours, please let me know!

You’re awesome, thanks! :)
The widget is now showing only the email subscriber count, not countig the Facebook ones – should I be worried?
Presumably not, as publicize is linked and switched on.
Thanks!

Hi Lukas – On self-hosted sites, the follower count doesn’t currently include your number of publicize followers, but as long as your posts are appearing on Facebook when you publish, then it’s properly connected. :)

Hi,
thanks again for your help and info? What happens to any subscribers who registered after you made the move? There were at least two I know of.
I have requested the DNS servers to change to my new provider in next couple of days, so this shouldn’t be an issue going forward :).
thanks,

Hi Lukas – We can move them again. Maybe just let us know once you’ve moved your domain, and we’ll move any stragglers.

Hi Eurello,
great – all good to go now, the new domain is pointing to the new website content, if you can move the last subscribers, that would be great!
thank you for your support, you guys are great :)
Lukas
