Going Graphic
-
My wordpress site is about film cameras. I would like to make the top page visually more appealing and was thinking it would be nice to provide quick images of each camera. Currently in the menu at the top of the page clicking on the name of any camera takes the visitor to a sub-page about that camera with images and text. But is it possible to embed something in the top page where images of each camera would temporarily pop up just by hovering over the camera name or clicking on something but without leaving the top page. Then if the viewer could either hover over the next camera name or maybe just click on the image to go to the next one, sort of like it works on Facebook etc., without leaving the top page. I’m open to any other suggestions too. My goal is to provide quick access to images of each camera without delving into the sub-pages.
Of course, any suggestions to improve the appearance and functionality of my site are very welcome too!
Thanks,

OK, I figured it out. I inserted a gallery. The fact that I couldn’t attach the photos that are already in other pages to the front page as well meant I had to re-upload all of them which was a hassle but I think I got it now.

You’d do best to start with the basics here and look at the support pages:
Also look at media:

Generally though, what you want to do probably uses something like Javascript which is not allowed on WordPress.com.
However, you might get round it by using a clickable image instead.

Thanks. I did look thru the support pages but it wasn’t until I did some searches about attachments to multiple pages that I discovered that it isn’t possible.
Sorry for the trouble!
