going offsite warning for external links
-
I would like a plugin that does what this Drupal module does: http://drupal.org/project/extlink
External Links is a small module used to differentiate between internal and external links. Using jQuery, it will find all external links on a page and add an external icon indicating it will take you offsite or a mail icon for mailto: links.
Configuration options:
* Apply icons to either mailto: or external links or both.
* Configure external links to open in a new window.
* A confirmation message when leaving the site (Section 508 compliance).
* Regular expression inclusion and exclusion of links considered external. -

The site linked to your name is not a wordpress.com blog. Please give us a functioning link to your blog so we can help.
If you don’t have a wp.COM blog, you are in the wrong forum:

the domain federationofideas.net is not active anymore, but it used to link to federationsofideas.wordpress.com, which is still up.
i had paid the $10 so that my wordpress.COM blog name is masked.
in any case, my question does not necessitate an active wordpress.COM blog to answer.

Yes, it does.
If you read the link I gave you, then you know that wordpress.COM is not the same as wordpress.ORG.
Here is most likely where you should be to have your questions answered:

so i provide a link to my blog that’s hosted on wordpress.COM and you’re still pulling attitude.
not only can you not answer my question, you go around being the police.
i’m asking if a certain plugin exists. if you don’t know the answer, then don’t answer the post.

@jiaz1: Tess did answer your question, by giving you these two links:

Better learn to read instead of “pulling attitude”.

We cannot use plugins at wordpress.COM. Plugsins are for self-hosted blogs only.

http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/There is no way to do what you want to do with a wordpress.COM hosted blog.
