Hi there Marc, looking at your domain registration I see it is registered with tucows but the domain name servers are pointing to WPcom.
I don’t see any WPcom site registered under this account and in order to map your tucows domain to your WPcom site, you’d need to upgrade your free WPcom site to at least a Personal plan.

https://wordpress.com/pricing/What is the URL of the WPcom site you’re trying to connect?

the upgrade to personal plan was done by my programmer (email visible only to moderators and staff)

Hello again, as a volunteer, I am unable to see this information. Again, knowing the underlying WPcom address, like yoursite.wordpress.com, would assist in making sure you are posting in the right forums. .
While this thread has been flagged for Staff attention, if your programmer owns the WPcom upgrade rather than you, they can log in to WPcom and then contact Support directly at https://wordpress.com/help/contact or by clicking the question mark at the bottom right corner of any page in your WPcom site’s dashboard.
Also, as the upgrade owner, your programmer should be able to follow the guide I linked to earlier https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/ to get your domain set up correctly on your site.

The domain is active and working just fine: https://goingovertime.ca/
When a domain is registered or altered, there is a process called propagation, where information about the domain name is passed to internet service providers all over the world. This process can take up to 72 hours (though usually much less). During that time, your domain may go to its old location, and you may also receive a warning message in your browser about “redirect errors.”
If you still have trouble viewing the site after 24 hours have passed, please try clearing your browser’s cache: https://www.refreshyourcache.com/
If that doesn’t work, try clearing your local DNS cache: https://protonvpn.com/support/flush-dns-cache/
