Goioogle NOT Indexing My Site

    Hello,

    I’m sure you are all familiar with indexing, and I mean, that’s how you can get visitors from Google – if your site is indexed.

    I have a site running with 21 pieces of content, and only one of them is actually indexed by Google. Some of this content has been up for months and is still not indexed.

    Hi there,

    There are many ways to increase traffic, some of which are outlined below:
    TAGS – One way is to use a mix of appropriate broad and specific tags. For example,tag your posts with what your blog is about (e.g. ‘movie reviews’, ‘boats’, ‘gardens’), but also a more specific tag (e.g. ‘review about [movie title]’, or the name of the specific type of boat etc.). Someone who wants to find a movie to watch might type in ‘movie reviews’ to Google, so might find your site. Someone who wanted to know whether a certain book was what they wanted might type in ‘reviews about [movie title]’, which is why the more specific tags are helpful. If you wanted to appear on the WordPress reader, make sure not to use more than 15 tags and categories combined; if there are any more, the Reader won’t index your site.     KEYWORDS – It’s also an idea to use keywords. For example, if your blog was a movie review blog, use keywords such as the movie’s title or themes within it. Make sure it doesn’t turn into ‘keyword stuffing’, though; if you use so many keywords that the sentences become unnatural, this could affect your site negatively.
    POSTING – It’s important to keep posting, and regularly. Search engines like it when blogs are being updated regularly.
