Good Morning! Need Guidance on CSS Customization for Photography Classic Theme
-
Hi,
I need guidance on how to turn the gray containing my text on the about, blog, comment page & beneath galleries to white? Also, how do I add a © full name notice to the bottom of my website? I am new to CSS and need help on how to approach the CSS editing in order to do the above after I delete the intro comments “Welcome to Custom CSS! CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) is a kind of……”.
Thank you in advance, much appreciated.

Angela, this will change the grey background behind the content on pages and posts to white for you. Go to Appearance > Custom CSS > CSS tab, delete the informational text in the CSS edit window and then paste in the code below.
.gallery.g-single, .entry.index, .entry.page, div.comment-box, div.file-not-found, p.notice { background: #FFFFFF; }For your copyright, add the following to your custom CSS. I included a font size, weight, and font color declarations (black, bold and a little larger). You can edit or remove those if you desire. You can edit the text I included to reflect your chosen copyright.
If you want the copyright after the existing footer information, change “before” to “after” in the code.
#copyright:before { content: "Copyright Angela Frusteri. All Rights Reserved."; color: #000000; font-size: 120%; font-weight: bold; } -
Thank you for your help!! I just have one more question regarding the gray again. On my comment page the gray still exits only in connection with my own comment/reply, may I turn this to white as well? If so, how? If not then may I turn the gray to an even lighter gray? I prefer white.
Thank you again.
Sincerely,
Angela -
I found that you’re talking about this page: http://angelafrusteri.com/comments/
To make the background for page author comments white instead of gray in the Photography theme, add this to your Appearance > Customize > CSS editor:
li.comment-author-admin div.comment-box, li.bypostauthor div.comment-box { background: inherit; } -

Hi, I have a question too on CSS editing in Photography theme.
When I go to Appearance>custome design and then click on the CSS tab, I find no text-editing area, on the contrary I am brought on the front-end of my blog.
Can anybody help me?
Thanks!

You should see a black band running vertically at the right of your browser window when you go to Appearance > Custom Design > CSS tab. The CSS window should slide out from the right. If it does not, click on the black band at right and then click on “CSS”.
