Goodreads widget

  I have the goodreads widget and as of two weeks ago my goodreads reviews no longer get posted on my blog. I have to manually copy and paste on to my blog. Why has it stopped posting suddenly?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I noticed on goodreads that my original blog url was starting with http and I changed it to https so that the url is now https://chroniclesoftania.wordpress.com/. Then I tried to post a review on my blog and nothing happened again.

  Are you trying to use Goodreads’ autopublish to blog feature? Or do you mean that your reviews are not updated in your widget?

  There is an option to tick at the bottom when you write a review on Goodreads, that it can also be posted as a new post on your blog and on Facebook. Ticking themail box for updating the blog no longer works. It does however still work for Facebook.

  I don’t think it’s a widget issue now. It seems an update issue.

  Thanks for those details! Can you check your Goodreads settings? Here’s the directions I found on Goodreads:

  http://www.goodreads.com/help/show/257-i-can-t-seem-to-get-auto-publishing-reviews-to-my-wordpress-blog-to-work

  You don’t need to worry about #2. xmlrpc.php is already enabled on WordPress.com sites.

  1. How do I view the source code?
  2. The remote publishing option isn’t there and I note your comment to ignore this point
  3. I don’t know if I am musing Admin users information…

  This is still not working for me. Reviews aren’t auto-publishing from Goodreads to my blog.

  Hi there,

  Sorry for the confusion. This is the URL you need to use at Goodreads for your blog: https://chroniclesoftania.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php

  Your account chroniclesoftania is the administrator on your blog, so that part is correct.

  Can you update the URL on Goodreads to https://chroniclesoftania.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php and check to see if it works correctly then?

  I went to ‘My Account’ and ‘Apps’ in Goodreads and changed the URL. Tested by posting a review to my blog. It worked!!!!!!! Thank you so much! I know it’s taken weeks. I’m so happy this is working now. :-)
