Goodreads widget

The Goodreads widget does not work on my site unless it’s set to display the ‘Read’ shelf. I intended to have 2 of the widgets: one on the footer for ‘Read’ books (this one works fine), and another on the sidebar for books I am ‘Currently Reading’ (this one displays nothing but the Goodreads logo). Does anyone know what may have caused this?

On my end I see you’re currently reading Black Sun — is that what you see too? Were you able to sort this out?

Yes, I see it now – I just had to clear my cache, cookies, and reset my computer. Although that’s pretty weird, I’m glad it worked out!

I think maybe the widget also requires some time for any Goodreads updates to show up on the widget for that particular shelf? I recently added another book “The Year of the Witching” yet the widget only shows “Black Sun” on the site.

That data would be cached on both Goodreads’ end and on ours, so those caches would need to update before the widget content updates, yes.
If it hasn’t updated after 24 hours, something else is likely wrong, so please let us know in that case.
