Goodreads widget – alternatives & troubleshooting

  Hi. I’m aware of some issues WordPress.com has been having with it’s own Goodreads widget – apparently Goodreads recently made some changes on their end? Mine is still not working on my blog.

  Is this the only GR widget allowed in the sidebar of my WordPress.com blog? i.e. are none of the other widgets offered Goodreads acceptable, e.g. the “Grid Widget” or “Custom Widget”? ( Refer to https://www.goodreads.com/user/edit?format ).
  I’m hoping more are as the WP Goodreads widget is limited to only 3 bookshelf options…

  I have tried to use the WP Text widget with various html (not just Goodreads code) & can’t seem to figure that out either.

  Hello. I am still yet to receive a response to my query about the Goodreads widget issue as above. The only response I found to similar WP user queries was < Please read the sticky post at the head of these support forums https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/goodreads-widget-5?replies=1 >, which concerns me as that was weeks ago & the topic is now flagged as “closed”. Have there been any developments? The current WP Goodreads widget looks awful in it’s current format since the changes… Please help.
