Goodreads widget not updating…

  Why doesn’t the goodreads widget update?

  I have selected the ‘currently reading’ shelf for this widget, so people can follow what I am reading at that very moment. But it doesn’t seem to update it at all.

  The first time I noticed it, I’ve gone through some posts and read about clearing cache and cookies. Which I did and at that time it seemed to help. In the meanwhile I’ve already updated my goodreads several times, yet the widget did not change a bit.
  Clearing cache and cookies doesn’t seem to make a difference. Neither does rebooting.

  How can I get this to work smoothly? +How can I avoid this happening every time I finish reading a book and/or add a new book?

  I’m having the same issue, which is ironic considering we’re being forced to use a non-customization, wordpress created Goodreads Widget. I hope they answer because it’s really obnoxious.
