Goodreads widget not working properly.

    Hey,
    I wanted to add a Goodreads widget to my blog. I used the Custom HTML widget for this. I added the 2022 reading challenge widget successfully but when I wanted to add other widgets like my Books read shelf with just the pictures appearing on my profile, the pictures are shown along with the HTML text. Also the pictures are shown in one single column instead of appearing in rows. Is there any way through which just the images are shown and not the HTML text? I got them from my Goodreads profile and copied the HTML text but still it’s not working properly.

    Hi there,

    The widght HTML code you get from Goodreads won’t work, as it includes JavaScript code that isn’t allowed on WordPress.com for security reasons:

    The only way to embed Goodreads shelves on WordPress.com is using our own Goodreads block. You can find details on how that block works here:

    Yaa I have actually used this feature too. The only problem I face here is I want to show my read shelf with only the star ratings instead of the review I wrote on goodreads. But the star ratings as well as my written review is shown when I use the Goodreads widget. Is there any way where I can only show the star rating?

    The only way to do that is to use that custom code from Goodreads, but that requires to upgrade to the Business plan.
