Goodreads widget wont update

  Since I included the goodreads widget, it wont update with the most recent books ive read.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi Margaret!

  Have you marked the latest books as Read in Goodreads? I took a look at the latest books that you’ve marked Read on your Goodreads profile here:

  These match up with the latest books that I’m seeing within your widget. Here’s a screenshot of the books I’m seeing on your site:

  If this is different to your view of the widget, then it may be due to browser caching. Try clearing you browser’s cache and cookies to see if that helps.

  Hi Siobhyb,

  Thank you so much for getting back to me.
  The last two books I read in Goodreads (White Teeth and The Unbearable Lightness of Being) are definitely not there on the widget, per your screenshot.
  I have cleared all cookies in Safari, enabled cookies and cleared the cache.I also cleared the cache in Firefox, the other browser I use.
  I can’t seem to resolve the issue.
  Would you happen to have any other suggestions?

  Hi Margaret.

  I took a deeper look at the list of Read books on your Goodreads profile here:
  https://www.goodreads.com/review/list/29203212-margaret-rodgers?shelf=read

  By default, the list is ordered by Date Added and the most recently added books, rather than the most recently read, are what’s showing up in the widget. This is what led to the confusion in my first reply. Sorry about that! I’m going to report this back to our development team as I agree that displaying the most recently read books, rather the most recently added, would make more sense here. I’ll let you know what I hear back from them.

  Hi Margaret.

  I’ve heard back from our developers on this, and I’m afraid that they’re not going to change the way things work with the Goodreads widget for now. As the list is ordered by Date Added, you could consider re-adding books to control the ordering of them in the widget. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help on that! Let me know if there’s anything else I could assist with.
