Goodz Theme – Slider with featured posts

Hello,
Yesterday, I purchased the Goodz theme for my blog http://healthcontinuum.org. It took several hours of work to set my featured images for my posts, but it is now done and I am happy with the result.
I have a question about the featured posts. The slider with the featured content (big picture at the top of the main page) looks great. However, it appears that the slider only works manually. People have to hover over the image and then click one of the arrows. This is not the end of the world; however, some people might think that the title of the first featured image is actually the title of the blog.
My question: Can the slider be configured to advance automatically?

I understand what you mean but there isn’t a way to auto advance the slider. The reason some themes don’t do this is, it can be distracting for your visitors to auto-play the slider. But this is subjective, really.
This is just for your information: some premium themes like Debut, Currents, Linen, On Demand, and free themes like Modularity Lite and Sight have auto sliders.

This might be a no brainer, but how do you set a post to appear in the slider? They aren’t automatically added to it when a featured image is set, is there a box I am supposed to be checking off when publishing the post?

Goodz Magazine theme support guide doesn’t mention the steps to activate the slider.
However, the steps to activate the slider is more or less the same in most of the themes. So I suggest you check the Featured Content section of the Sketch theme support guide.
The steps are:
Set appropriate page template.
Define featured tag.
Tag your posts with the above featured tag.As Goodz is a premium theme, I won’t be able to activate it on my test site to be able to provide you the exact steps.
I suggest you give a try based on Sketch theme and feel free to ask if you have more questions.
