    Hello WordPress,
I already wrote you about this problem. After that it disappeared, but now the problem there again on my Blog Page. I can’t see it when I am on my phone, but on my laptop the window in the middle of the page saying: ‘Google. 400. That’s an error’ seriously annoying me. Could you check and fix it please? Thank you very much.

Make sure you are running an up to date browser version found at https://browsehappy.com Try clearing your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and see the tips here https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/

If you are not successful please provide this specific info:
    (a) Exactly what kind of device you are using to connect to the internet and to WordPress.com.
    (b) Exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using by checking here if necessary http://supportdetails.com/

Tried clear cache. Doesn’t help. Browser up to date. All fine, and that one still there.
    a) I am using Lenovo Yoga 3 pro. When I am using my IPhone, it’s all good. Those thing happened only on my laptop.
b)I am using Firefox. I opened my blog in Explorer, and everything is fine. I don’t see that window. I believe this is Firefox problem. But I like to use Firefox and unhappy about it. Before I didn’t have any problems.
    Thank you for help anyway.

  • Hi there,

I don’t see anything like what you’re describing when viewing your site in Firefox.

Can you please tell me exactly where this appears for you? Can you also please take a screen shot of your browser where you see that error, please. Make sure your screen shot includes your entire browser window, including the browser’s address bar and toolbars/menus.

You can upload the screen shot at this link and I’ll be able to see it.

Can you also please check if this happens if you run Firefox in Safe Mode? To start in Safe Mode, click on the options icon top-right in the browser, click the ? icon, and select “Restart with add-ons disabled”. If you don’t see the error when doing that, it means it’s an add-on in your browser causing this, and not the website.

In that case try disabling your extensions one by one until the error disappears. That will tell you which extension is causing this.

    Hi.
Yes, I uploaded the screenshot of the page to that link you gave me.
Safe mode tried and it didn’t work.

And this Google error window repeating with each page scroll down.

  • Thank you for the screen shots.

All I can tell you is that that definitely isn’t coming from us. There is no code on WordPress.com that would cause an error like that to show on your site.

Can you please try the following:

Right-click on that error message, and select Inspect Element in the menu. That will open your browser console at the bottom of the screen. Please take a screen shot of that for me and upload to your media library. If I can see the code that’s causing that to show I might be able to help you figure out what’s causing it, but I’m sure this is something that’s wrong in either your browser or your computer as I don’t see it at all on my end.

Yes, I uploaded screenshot with Inspect Element code. Thank you for helping me.

  • Thanks again for the screen shot. It appears that this is coming from Google, and is generated when there’s a failure to connect to their API.

Can you please try two things for me:

    1) Try changing the font on your site to something else.

    2) If possible, try connecting to the internet using a VPN.

Let me know if either of these make a difference.

Do you see this happening on any other WordPress.com sites?

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi, thank you again for helping me.
    1) Font changed. Didn’t help.
    2) Not possible to use VPN connection, sorry.
I don’t think it depends on that. I can’t see this Google Error in Chrome browser and I can’t see it on other people’s blogs. Only on mine. :(
Well, I don’t know how to solve this problem, so I will probably better work with Chrome browser. Thank you anyway.

  • I checked your site in Firefox on both Windows and on a Mac and I don’t see it on either. That’s what tells me it’s either something specific to your computer, or to your connection.

I found several reports of this kind of error on the Google forums, but none of them affecting WordPress sites or specific to one browser. I really cannot find anything on our side that might be causing this, so consider perhaps asking on the Firefox/Mozilla forums if anyone there has encountered this.

Actually, I can see this error when I am go to the Options, in Themes. I tried to change the theme of blog, but this error is everywhere.
